As I’m sure many of you know, last night was the One Love Manchester concert, organised by Ariana Grande in support of helping those effected by the terrorist attack that happened at her concert in Manchester.
Tragically, another attack took place in London on Saturday night, the day before the concert. However this attack did not stop the people of Manchester attending the concert, showing that fear and terror did not stop them from enjoying themselves.
Ariana organised this amazing night with so many talented artists including Katy Perry, Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus and many more. It was amazing to see how much emotion had gone into this concert with every artist showing their love and support. Though many of these performers are some of the biggest artists in the world, there is no way of escaping this sadness we all feel when something so violent has taken so many innocent lives.
The Black Eyed Peas performed their song ‘Where Is The Love’ along with Ariana Grande, the whole crowd sang along with the heart felt lyrics, showing how relatable the song still is after all that time.
I have been a fan of Ariana for a long time now, but what she did tonight allowed us all to see a different side to her. The love she has for her fans goes above and beyond, but love she made us all feel for each other was beautiful. She showed everyone that despite what has happened, we can still enjoy the magical feeling of live music and not let fear stop this.
I know this concert will live on through years to come, with a meaning we will never forget. I am so proud to be a part of this country and last night demonstrated how strong we are in a time where attacks like these try to make us weak.
We Stand Together.
