Now I can say with complete confidence that I am a bit of a ‘clean freak’ and I find clearing out old things like clothes and book incredibly therapeutic.
However I know it is pretty impossible to keep your house clean 24/7 but when it comes to the term ‘spring cleaning’ I feel like this is a great way to motivate yourself on giving your house that real deep clean.
Spring-cleaning has been around for years and the whole gist of it is basically to have a huge clear out to make it feel light and airy in time for summer.
When it comes to clearing out your house this can be one heck of a job and a lot of the time you need to be quite ruthless about what you choose to throw away. It’s very easy to become sentimental over anything but the aim of Spring cleaning is to awaken new beginning’s and feel as though you are creating a fresh start.
Spring is very much focused upon starting a fresh and leaving those winter blues behind so it’s really important we embrace this, as it can be hugely uplifting for anyone going through a hard time.
We here at Nudgu think it would be a great idea to pop round to your loved one who is suffering from dementia and have a little (or big) clear out to help them feel more positive. This could give you the chance to come across old pictures, knickknacks and just create a cleaner environment to live in.
Spring brings all kind of joy to the world, as we know warmer days are now on the horizon, so why don’t you send a Nudgu reminder to your family member telling them this! Help give them something to look forward to and make it a great way to arrange a time to spring clean together!
